What licenses and insurance do you carry? Are your workers covered by Worker’s Compensation?

We are licensed by the Ministry of the Environment and carry comprehensive million liability insurance. All of our workers are covered by Worker’s Comp and we have an excellent safety record. Safety, both for our workers and our customers, is our number-one priority on the job.

What happens to the junk after you haul it away?

We do everything we can to recycle or donate all possible materials, and we’re proud to say that up to 60% of our loads are diverted away from landfills. We offer appliance and fridge disposal, drywall recycling, and construction recycling in addition to metal, clean wood, and computer recycling. Toronto’s licensed disposal facilities take care of everything that cannot be donated or recycled.

What equipment do you carry for full-service junk removal jobs?

Shovels, rakes, brooms, dustpans, and dollies. We also carry tool kits for removing doors and dismantling some furniture items. We do not operate machinery or power tools and we do not use ladders.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, businesses may apply for a commercial discount on garbage pickup.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept debit cards, Visa, Mastercard for full service junk hauling. For self-service, we can only accept Visa or Mastercard, since our costs are calculated after your materials are dumped, donated, or recycled.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

Though we’re busy year-round, we can often provide same or next-day junk hauling and trash collection services. That said, we do encourage you to book well in advance if you are in a time sensitive situation, such as a real estate closing, so that we can be sure to accommodate you.

Will you damage my driveway when you deliver my self-service bin?

We take several precautions to make sure your driveway does not sustain damage. We put down plywood to offer a layer of protection and use a modern system of delivery to place the bin down very gently, thus preventing impact damage. We also offer mini bins for smaller jobs.

Why are the delivery and pick-up day not included in my self-service rental?

In short, to make sure you don’t get over-charged. We will deliver your bin anywhere from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and we cannot guarantee that you will have a full day’s use of the bin on either the pick up or delivery day. It doesn’t seem fair to charge you for use of the bin for only part of the day, so we don’t charge you at all for those days.

How do I know what the weight will be for my self-service bin?

We’ll weigh it for you at a third-party facility on a federally inspected scale. They will provide us with an official ticket, which we will present to you with the bill.

What is a cubic yard? How many cubic yards fit in your full service truck?

We base our full service pricing on volume, which we calculate by the cubic yard. One cubic yard is a pile of junk 3 feet high by 3 feet wide by 3 feet deep. Our full service truck is 11 feet long by 8 feet wide by 5 feet high, making it just over 16 cubic yards.

Do I need to be at the location when you deliver or pick up the garbage container?

No. Just let us know you will not be at the location and we’ll make sure we deliver and pick up your bin, garbage container, or mini bins in the right place. We can arrange all payments over the phone.

What Junk Do We Take?

We handle everything from fridge disposal to construction recycling, and we take all materials excepting hazardous waste. We take care of basic trash collection and garbage pickup as well. Here’s a brief list of some common junk removal items: – Furniture – desks, filing cabinets, dresses, mattresses, couches, sofabeds, armchairs – Appliances – washers, dryers, fridges, freezers, computers, fax machines, stereos, TVs – Household items – dishes, clothing, tools, boxes, lawn mowers – Construction and renovation materials – drywall, plaster, tiles, glass, concrete, shingles – Wood – pressure treated and regular lumber, fencing, plywood, firewood – Yard waste – leaves, branches, dirt, grass, sod, soil, dirt, clay, compost – Concrete – driveway concrete, pathway concrete, basement floor concrete, asphalt We cannot take hazardous waste such as propane tanks, batteries, paint, asbestos, oil, solvents, or bio-medical waste. If you’re not certain whether your materials are hazardous, please ask for a complete list of materials that we are not allowed to take.

What’s the difference between full and self service?

Our full service takes care of all the loading and clean-up involved in junk removal. If you don’t have a good location for a disposal bin, don’t have the time or energy to load your junk yourself, or have an injury that makes loading dangerous to you, this is your best option. With our self-service option, we’ll deliver a bin that you then fill yourself, after which we’ll haul it away and dispose of it safely. This is a good option for those who prefer to do their junk removal in their own time.

How do I schedule an appointment?

We make scheduling an appointment easy with our fast online booking system. You can also give us a call to make a booking and to ask any questions you have.
