Some materials require special handling and cannot be placed in a standard garbage bin. If you’re unsure whether an item is accepted, contact Junk It® before loading your bin.
Paint, solvents, gasoline, propane tanks, pesticides, motor oil, adhesives, corrosive materials, and other hazardous waste are not accepted.
Vehicle batteries, lithium batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, and certain electronics should be recycled or disposed of through an approved collection program.
Food waste, medical waste, sharps, animal waste, and other biohazardous materials cannot be placed in a rental bin.
Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and hot water tanks require special handling and should not be loaded into a standard bin without prior approval.
Concrete, brick, soil, gravel, asphalt, sand, stone, dirt, and other clean fill materials must be placed in a dedicated soil and concrete bin rather than a mixed-waste dumpster.
Whether your bin is going on a driveway, parking area, laneway, or job site, we'll position it where it's practical for loading while maintaining safe access whenever possible.
Protective boards are placed beneath the bin to help reduce direct contact with paved driveways and other finished surfaces during delivery and pickup.
You don't need to be present for delivery if the drop-off location is accessible and you've provided clear placement instructions when booking.

Load accepted materials at your own pace during the rental period. Be sure to keep debris level with the top of the bin and separate any restricted items.
Once your rental period ends, Junk It® returns to pick up your bin and disposes of accepted materials through the appropriate waste and recycling facilities.
The best bin size depends on the type and amount of material you’re disposing of. Smaller bins are often suitable for household cleanouts and minor renovations, while larger bins are better for construction, roofing, and demolition projects.
